Pahrump Chamber Executive Director

The Executive Director  has overall responsibility for the complete operation of the Chamber as it involves program, planning and operations. The Executive Director is responsible to the Board for a full range of activities, including but not limited to: coordination of the program of work; organizational structure and procedures; motivation of volunteers; income and expenditures; maintenance of membership; employment, training and supervision of staff; interpretation of policy; maintenance of offices, and long-range planning. 

This position also oversees the operation of the Visitor’s Center.

Salary range $45,000-$50,000 commensurate with experience

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage the daily operational affairs of the chamber including board relations

  • Implement the goals of the organization
  • Support committees in achieving their prescribed missions
  • Attend professional/ county meetings and conferences relevant to the objectives of the chamber
  • Recommend courses of action
  • Monitor and manage finances and operations in relation to the approved budget
  • Recruit and retain well-qualified and competent staff to achieve chamber’s goals and objectives
  • Develop, support and manage annual budget
  • Recruit new membership and nurture existing members
  • Manage ad and sponsorship sales for all chamber-related publications and events
  • Develop, manage and improve all fundraising activities and events
  • Maintain effective relationships with media, town and government officials
  • Oversight of chamber website and social media page

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree
  • Knowledge of grants
  • Knowledge of social media and online marketing
  • Prior chamber experience
  • Event experience
